Dr. Timo Nummenmaa

 

Dr. Timo Nummenmaa works as a University Researcher at the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Tampere. His PhD thesis focused on utilizing executable formal specifications in game design and development and he received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Tampere in 2013. Dr. Nummenmaa’s research concentrates on such areas as augmented reality, hybrid experiences, pervasive digital games, playful internet of things, playfulness, development tools, game evolution, and gamification. He has been involved in games research since 2004, mainly working at the University of Tampere, but also at the Tampere University of Technology and the Nokia Research Center. As a versatile researcher, he has published research in various venues on various topics.
