Requirements

Participation in three group meetings to give and get feedback to manuscripts written by participants, together with evidence of completion of a limited number of online modules.

Principles and baselines related to teaching and learning

The core activity in this course are meetings of writers in small groups, together with the instructor. The focus of these small groups will be on supporting the writing and editing of manuscripts of participants. In addition, participants will be asked to refine their knowledge and skills related to writing academically by accomplishing learning modules in Moodle on different topics. Students can select themselves which modules suite their own learning aims.

Learning outcomes

This course supports the development of a manuscript for publication or acceptance for graduation at the master's or doctoral level. It is also suitable for research staff. The development of this manuscript will happen through peer and instructor support in small groups. While developing the above manuscript, participants will complete online self-study modules. This course is more advanced than Kie-3377 and is not intended as an introduction to the basics of academic writing.
