This is the English summary of a preliminary report on transport poverty in Finland. The research was funded by Ministry of Transport and Communications, Helsinki Regional Transport Authority and Finnish Transport Agency. Further research is funded by Kone Foundation.

The first international conference on Mobility as a Service (ICoMaaS) took place in Tampere, Finland 28.–29.11.2017. About 130 participants from nearly 20 countries attended the conference. The theme of the conference was identifying knowledge gaps and building bridges, which reflected the event’s mission to bring together business, authorities and scientific community. Doctor of Science (Technology) Heikki Liimatainen has been designated as Assistant Professor (tenure track) at Tampere University of Technology (TUT) as from 15th February 2016. The field of professorship is transport transformation. As a professor Heikki Liimatainen will head the Transport Research Centre Verne at TUT.
