Dive into VR worlds!

Discover what kind of immersive VR and AR hot topic applications have been done by companies and research groups. Demos for the industries of entertainment, education, health care, construction and many more are available for testing. The event is organized by Kampusklubi and Virtual Reality Finland Association.

Demola Summer 2017 - Call for Projects

Demola Summer turns your ideas into tangible demos, prototypes and innovative concepts with flexibility and minimum involvement. Experienced Demola teams are solving real-world challenges within 3 months of innovation project. The results belong to the project partner. Call for Projects is open until 11.4.


Demola Testing Afternoon April 7th

Demola Spring 2017 campaign is now on halfway, and most of the teams have early-phase results to be presented and tested. This open event doesn’t have a specific agenda, but you can come by anytime between 14:00 – 17:00 to test the demos from football players’ heart rate to fitness test and indoor locationing to agricultural drones!

Health monitoring and personalized care

Tampere University of Technology (TUT), University of Tampere (UTA), and Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK) have launched a series of afternoon workshops on Health@Tampere3. The idea is to bring together the researchers and developers in various research areas in Health Research to network and plan new research openings in the framework of Tampere3. A representative from the Academy of Finland will also be presenting health related calls (e.g. Health from Science (TERVA) in April!

CERN Roadshow in Finland

CERN Roadshow in Finland is an all-day event on the 6th of April 2017, organised by Helsinki Institute of Physics (HIP) and CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research. The event brings CERN and HIP management, and experts of CERN procurement, knowledge transfer and human resources to Aalto University Design Factory in Otaniemi. The event is targeted to potential CERN business and R&D&I partners, career service professionals, and Finnish stakeholders for CERN relations and strategies.



Mediapolis live: Where is VR now?

How much can we really exploit VR reality now? Who are the users of VR? What are the business opportunities? How should different sectors work together? What are lessons learnt for building the future of VR? MEDIAPOLIS LIVE will explore the contemporary state of VR due to practitioners from different industrial fields including Jannicke Mikkelsen (UK) who directed Adam Lambert’s and Queen’s first concert film in VR and Dr. Christer Geiger, Professor of Mixed Reality and Visualization shows how media companies and university innovate VR together at InnovationsHub Düsseldorf. The event is targeted to professionals, researchers and companies that are interested in developing or utilizing VR applications.
