Academic Calendar 2007-2008

The academic year at TUT is divided into two semesters, the autumn semester and the spring semester. During the academic year there are five teaching periods, and there is an examination week(s) at the end of each period (please see the academic calendar for the exact dates). During the summer months (except for the month of July) some courses are lectured (mainly in Finnish) and there are some possibilities for examinations and research work at the departments.

The autumn semester begins late August/early September and ends at the end of December. The spring semester starts early January and ends late May. Please note that the third period begins during the autumn semester (early December) and continues for a part of the spring semester (the period ends late January/early February).
