This course familiarizes the students with the configuration of service offerings, design of service delivery systems, and organization and management of service systems in industrial firms. After participating in the course, the students will know the components of modern, successful industrial service systems, and understand their design and coordination requirements. They understand the reasons and mechanisms of service business transformation in manufacturing firms. The students are capable to analyze industrial service systems based on available information and topical research, and utilize their analysis to promote industrial companies┐ service business transformation.

Basics of industrial management (teollisuustalouden perusteet) or equivalent is a necessary prerequisite. Also students will benefit from basic knowledge in operations management.
