Terms of Use

Interface is an online publication directed at the stakeholders of Tampere University of Technology (TUT). TUT is the publisher of Interface and holds the copyright to all the materials published in Interface.

All materials must comply with the code of good practice and may not be contradictory to the policies or interests of the publisher. The materials may not violate any existing copyrights. Interface does not publish political, commercial or religious material. The editors are not liable to publish unsolicited material.

In this document the term materials in Interface refers to all the solutions used in the publication. These include, for example, texts, pictures, article pages, forms and all other functions closely related to the Interface online publication.

The materials published in Interface may be quoted, provided that the original source is mentioned.


Users can subscribe to Interface's email newsletter. Users can change their subscriber information and unsubscribe to the newsletter via a link in the email.

Personal data

Personal data on users will be held and processed in accordance with the Finnish Personal Data Act. Information on subscribers may be used to maintain and manage customer relationships and for other similar purposes closely related to the publication. Any contact information provided by readers (name and email address) will not be used or forwarded to third parties for direct marketing purposes without the reader's express consent. TUT reserves the right to modify the content of and terms of use for the service. Users will be informed of substantial changes to the terms of use via email or in the publication.

All disputes in connection with or arising from the service shall be settled amicably through negotiation. If no such settlement can be reached between the parties the case shall be submitted to Tampere District Court, Finland.

TUT grants the user of Interface services the right to use the services only on condition that the user accepts these terms.
