New community, new magazine – share your ideas!
TUT and the University of Tampere are merging to create the new foundation-based Tampere University on 1 January 2019. Together with Tampere University of Applied Sciences, Tampere University will constitute a new higher education community with technology, health and society as its priority areas.
New community, new magazine!
A brand new science magazine is in the pipeline for the new Tampere University. The magazine will replace the existing magazines of the higher education institutions, Interface, Rajapinta, Aikalainen and TAMK.nyt. It will be published online and continuously updated with new content in Finnish and English. A print version will appear twice a year.
The new magazine will cover a broad range of scientific topics with the help of researchers and experts from the new higher education community. Tech enthusiasts will continue to enjoy access to the latest news on technology – and even more frequently than before because of the digital-first approach.
The readers of the Science Magazine Interface (Rajapinta in Finnish) are now invited to share their thoughts on the existing magazine and outline the kind of topics that they would like the new magazine to cover. You are also welcome to propose a name for the new magazine!
Tech enthusiasts will continue to enjoy access to the latest news on technology.
The survey (in Finnish) will be open until 5.11.2018.
If you cannot complete the survey in Finnish or wish to comment later, please email your ideas and feedback directly to communications officer Sanna Kähkönen, sanna.kahkonen (at) tut.fi.
PS: Not to worry – your favourites are safe! Even though this is the last issue of Interface, all previous issues of Interface and Rajapinta will be available online next year, too.
