SPORTS FEES FOR DEGREE STUDENTS AT TUT 2011-2012
You need to pay the personal Sports Fee for using the Sport Hall of Tampere University of Technology (Tamppi Areena) or any other sport facilities (apart from the Bomb shelter's floorball fields) at the University. You can pay the fee either for Autumn semester/Spring semester or for the whole year.

Student union fee 2011-2012 must be paid before any sports fees can be paid

Access areas will be automatically updated to your student card after paying sports fees.

The right to use sporting facilities ends at the same day when student graduates. Sport fees will not be returned from the on going period.

TUT sports services participants are not insured by sports organiztion.

Note. New students need to activate the student card at any info desk after getting the card from Student Union office.
Sports Fee consists of Basic Sports Fee and voluntary Group Exercise fee.
WITH BASIC SPORTS FEE:

use Tamppi Areena ball playing area in free of charge times and reserve chargeable slots

use gym in Tamppi Areena, gym in Main building, beach volley court behind the parking area, tatami and mini skate ramp in Rakennustalo basement

attend sport hours organised by different sport clubs, and for example, you can participate in the internal sport leagues or competitions of TUT
-
attend the sport hours of Tampere city reserved by TUT as a member of sport club

attend couple of instructed circuit trainings weekly
WITH GROUP EXERCISE FEE (+ Basic Sports Fee):

you are allowed to join all the classes mentioned in Group Exercise schedule

in addition you have to pay the basic sports fee

All the sport activities at TUT are organised by Students Sport Club (Teekkareiden Urheilu- ja Voimailukerho, TUrVoKe ry), which offers sport services for students as a member service. Basic sport fee includes the membership fee of TUrVoKe, so everyone paid the fee automatically becomes a member of TUrVoKe ry. TUrVoKe gets the information about it's members from the student register of TUT. If you only want to become a member of TUrVoKe ry, but not want to use any sport services, pay the fee of membership: 2,5 EUR.

There have been some problems in automatic updating of student cards when transferring payments abroad. Print a payment receipt if you use your home country's bank for payment. If your student card hasn't been updated in 4 days after payment, just show the receipt in Tamppi Areena customer service and the card will be updated manually.
