TUT Sport
People are built to be active. In many different ways, regular exercise promotes and supports our physical, mental and social well-being, helping us to cope with the hectic pace of studying, work and everyday life. A physically active life promotes health, enhances our abilities both at work and on the general level, and improves our quality of life. Daily exercise refreshes and relaxes the mind. It also prevents many chronic illnesses and is a good means for weight loss and weight control.
Getting yourself fitter isn't hard. Just half an hour-s exercise every day - even done in several parts - makes a great start. Make exercise part of your daily routine by choosing the stairs instead of the elevator, for instance. To improve your fitness, choose a form of exercise that makes you slightly out of breath and therefore provides reasonable physical exertion. The effect of exercise is vastly improved as the volume and level of exertion increase. Fitness doesn-t improve without exercise, and no one is going to do the exercise for you!
Research evidence on the importance of moderate, regular exercise to good health is indisputable. Yet still less than half of all adult Finns perform sufficient exercise from the perspective of their health. The ball is in your hands - come and explore the possibilities offered by TUT's sports and exercise services!
