EDGE research projects

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Computer Aided Design (CAD) as well as 3D modelling and advanced visualization and analyses techniques have been an integral part of the work of EDGE during its history. Laboratory has during past three years expanded to cover the entire unit and the research volume has increased considerably. Currently there are about 10 ongoing research projects and twice as many in the preparatory stage or waiting for funding decision. The research focus of laboratory lays traditionally been in streams of modelling urban structure and morphological studies. New focal areas in studies include change in living, user-centred space research and parametric design.
