In BIMCityproject the main goal is to take building information modellingto the next, more comprehensive level, towards the standards and data requirements of urban planning. This is a new to approach the management of our built environment.BIMCity project outlinesa demand-based model to enable more extensive use of the currently heterogeneous urban spatial data. The goal of this strategic research is to create a BIMCity that provides a comprehensive and collaborative solution and open platform for sharing, evaluation and development of services and digital models of built environment in the society level.
