About KEKE project

Project: KEKE - Competitive and sustainable production systems and networks
Funding: Tekes
Contacts: Prof. Seppo Torvinen, Mikko Koho
Time schedule: 1.1.2010 - 31.12.2011

The KEKE project strengthens the competence of the Department of Production Engineering (TTE) at Tampere University of Technology (TUT) in the area of competitive sustainable design and production of products and related services. The area is crucially significant when determining future competitive measures and success factors for companies. The project's nature is long-term and it corresponds to the new strategic guidelines defined by TUT and TTE. In addition to the broadening of the competence base, the project builds strong connections to acknowledged international expert institutions. This is realised through large-scale professor and researcher exchange. The large scale national impact of project results is ensured through a large Industrial Interest Group (IIG).
