The TUT mathematics department is hiring trainees for summer 2012. Priority is given to mathematics major students with good grades. Traineeships are normally 3 months.
SEMOGEN, a research project conducted by the Smart Simulators research group and several business partners, has received funding for the second phase. The project develops production methods for intelligent and virtual machine laboratories based on semantic modelling.

”Evaluating the Quality of Social Media in an Educational Context” article by Kirsi Silius, Meri Kailanto and Anne-Maritta Tervakari was awarded the Best Paper Award in IEEE Educon 2011 conference in the conference area of ”Learning in Transition and Engineering Education Ecosystems".
