SICFP’11 - The Twelfth Scandinavian International Conference on Fluid Power 18-20.5.2011

Department of Intelligent Hydraulics and Automation organizes The Twelfth Scandinavian International Conference on Fluid Power, SICFP’11. SICFP is one of the biggest scientific conferences on fluid power area and is organized every second year and the venue alternates between Tampere and Linköping.

The conference is organized in co-operation with FPCE (Fluid Power Centres in Europe). This year SICFP is organized in Tampere Hall and about 300 quests are expected to participate the 3-day conference.

The scientific program consists of about 110 presentation from 22 countries. The areas of the scientific program are mobile hydraulics, industrial hydraulics, digital hydraulics, water hydraulics, robotics and pneumatics. Special focus on this years’ event are intelligent and autonomous machines, energy efficiency and renewable energy.

Important aim of SICFP is to be forum for discussions between industry and universities. Industrial companies have been very interested in participating to SICFP, about 25% of the presentations and 40% of delegates registered this far are from industry.
