FiKoPa


The project “Comprehensive financial services for SMEs and the required business models for them” (FiKoPa)focuses on the identification and development of the financial service needs of the SME sector. Also the business models required from the financial service providers are determined for this customer segment. The main objective of the project is to define the comprehensive financial services required by SMEs in different market conditions. Another important objective is reinforcing the role of the SME sector in the supply of these financial services. The aim of the project is to produce practical information based on scientific research concerning comprehensive financial solutions and the current situation of service supply from the point of view of a Finnish SME. The research themes of this project include:

  • Evaluation of the state of the financial industry and the position of the SME
  • Identification of customer value and customer needs of financial services
  • Classification of the service provider – customer –relationships and the significance of customership in the management of financial services
  • Industrialization and assimilation of financial services
  • Digitization of financial services from the viewpoint of the customer
  • Risks of corporate financing and the opportunities of integrated banking and insurance services
  • Business models for financial services in the SME sector

 

The research results aim to provide the scientific community, companies and the society a possibility of competitive advantage in an internationally integrated business world, especially in the field of risk management and comprehensive solutions in financing processes. The project is conducted during 1.9.2009-31.8.2011. The project is managed by Mr. Olavi Uusitalo, who is the Professor of Marketing at the Department of Industrial Management in TUT.
