Department of Electronics is a scientific teaching and research unit of electrical engineering field, which aims for high quality research and academic education in close interaction with society. The department is one of the University’s strong educators of Masters of Science in Technology. The department has research groups, which produce significant results of research, and train Doctors of Technology for high level research and development tasks.
The two fields of research and teaching of the Department are electronics and electromagnetism. The Department has a wide spectrum of activities on these subjects serving the needs of electrical engineering. The Department carries on both applied and theoretical activities on its fields of research.
The Department of Electronics is located in the TUT campus area in Sähkötalo. It also has off-campus research sites in towns of Rauma and Kankaanpää.
