Switched-mode converters and interconnected regulated systems

The main focus has been on creating proper formulations by means of which the dynamic behavior and control design of switched-mode converters can be effectively performed within the constraints imposed by different dynamic anomalies as well as master the problems associated to the dynamic systems composing of switched-mode converters, EMI filters, cabling, etc. This research has yielded a book 'Dynamic Profile of Switched-Mode Converters - Modeling, Analysis and Control,' Wiley-VHC, 2009, 357 pp. as well as five doctorate dissertations. The recent research focuses on the stability and performance assessment of COTS (Custom-of-the-self)-module-based DC/DC distributed power systems where the assessment has to be performed based on the dynamic information extractable from the input and output ports of the COTS power modules without any other a priori knowledge from the converter.
