Extrusion
Gimac miniextruder equipment is designed for production of extrusion particles. Polymer is melted by external heating system and the heat from the friction of the screw. The equipment is small therefore it is suitable for processing of small sample amounts. Extrusion process can be used for most thermoplastic polymers. It is possible to use small amounts of blended components which are thermally stable.
Melted polymer can be forwarded from the extruder to a fiber spinning line. There are different kinds of nozzles in which the amount of holes vary from one to 16 with diameter of 0,15 - 0,5 millimeters.
