Papermaking processes become more sophisticated. At the same time, end product properties must be controlled more accurately. This increases the need for in-depth process knowledge. Simulation is an efficient way to analyse and study the behaviour of processes and to discover the best operational practise. Simulation is also a useful tool for process development and control design. The main objective of the project was to establish the use of APROS Paper (former APMS) as development and design tool in Metso Automation and TTY. During the project, the simulator environment was used to support other projects.
