Effnet (WP7&9)

Efficient Networking towards Novel Products and Processes

Research program of Forestcluster Ltd, one of the Srategic Centres for Science Technology and Innovation (SCSTI).

ASE is responsible for

• scientific coordination of WPs 5-10 on Sustainable and Resource Efficient Design and Manufacturing of Paper and Board (volume approximately 4.2 M€ for the current funding period 7/2010-12/2011)
• WP7 manager on “Management of web uniformity based on imaging measurements” (total volume 1.0 M€ of which 115 k€ for ASE) and
• WP9 manager on “Optimizing structures and operation of entire production systems” (total volume 500 k€/ASE 115 k€).

The program is expected continue for 2012 - 2013. The results obtained are developed further as subcontracting for the participating companies. E.g. project on “Control of tissue production” applies the results of WP7 in project at a volume of 150 k€ for 2010 - 2011.
