1. What is TCSC?
TCSC is administered by Tampere University of Technology (TUT). Its objective is to provide support, computational resources and scientific software for researchers at TUT and its partner universities (University of Jyväskylä and University of Tampere). Nationally TCSC is the local contact point for computational sciencists, facilitating their access to using the resources of CSC - IT Center for Science Ltd administered by the Ministry of Education.
2. What kind of hardware does TCSC have?
TCSC computing facilities consist of two types of hardware. Akaatti cluster, which is part of the national M-grid infrastructure. And TUTGrid, which utilizes the idle capacity of desktop PCs and other computers at Tampere University of Technology.
