Computational science forms one of the three corner stones of scientific studies, complementing theory and experiments. At Tampere University of Technology, TCSC supports all research groups and scientists whose work is related to scientific computing and computational studies overall. The scientific fields represented by the research groups cover a multitude of topics ranging from systems and computational biology to applied mathematics and computational fluid dynamics, and further to nano-scale semiconductor devices, signal processing and computational engineering and even detection of brain tumors through computational inverse problems research.
