Student housing in Tampere is organised by TOAS (www.toas.fi). Student flats are only equipped with basic furniture including a bed with a mattress, a desk, a chair, a shelf and a kitchen table with chairs. Towels, bedclothes, desk lamps and kitchenware are NOT included. Laundry facilities are located in the basement of each building.
Regulations
►Smoking is forbidden in all TOAS flats, both inside the flats and in all common areas (staircases, common rooms, basements, etc.)
►There are no cleaners in TOAS flats. Students take care of cleaning by themselves.
►Causing disturbance in the shared facilities and flats is not allowed and the houses must be quiet between 22.00 and 07.00.
Internet
►All TOAS flats have an Internet connection available.
Keys
If you forget your key inside your flat outside the TOAS office hours (Mon - Fri 8:15-15:30, on the first and last working day of the month the office is open 8:15-18:00) please contact the maintenance company (Finnish: huoltoyhtiö). They will come and open your door. Contact TOAS immediately if you lose your key. TOAS will collect a set fee for having new keys cut.
