Graduate degree programmes in Finnish


Tampere University of Technology offers the following 13 second-cycle degree programmes in Finnish:

Architecture
Automation Engineering
Biotechnology
Civil Engineering
Signal Processing and Communications Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Environmental and Energy Technology
Industrial Engineering and Management
Information and Knowledge Management
Information Technology
Materials Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Science and Engineering

The second-cycle programmes lead to the degrees
● Master of Science in Technology (MSc Tech) or
● Master of Science in Architecture (MSc Arch)

It takes at least two years to complete a master's degree. The extent of the second-cycle degree studies is 120 credits (=opintopiste). One credit equals approximately 27 hours of work. The student workload may include, for example, lectures, assignments, other forms of instruction and independent learning.

Please note that applicants should have 2 language certificates:
- Finnish language certificate [TUT accepts only the Finnish language certificate "Yleinen kielikoe". The minimum test result is 4 (grading scale 6)]
- Certificate of proficiency in the English language (=TOEFL or IELTS).
