Strong participation in the EU’s 7th Framework Programme
Tampere University of Technology (TUT) strongly participated in the European Union’s 7th Framework Programme for Research (FP7) running from 2007 till 2014.
TUT had the fifth largest FP7-project portfolio of all Finnish participants and coordinated a significant share of its 78 FP7 projects. The University secured funding under all the FP7 Specific Programmes, i.e. People, Ideas, Cooperation, Capacities (see Fig. 1) and related programmes, such as Euratom, Artemis and Eniac. Overall, the University will receive 32 M€ of FP7 funding. The FP7 funding constituted 6 % of TUT’s R&D funding, representing the third highest FP7 contribution to the research expenses of Finnish universities.
