Vapriikki Museum Centre
October 28th 2015
The TWC International Wear Seminar is arranged with theme "Tribological challenges in industrial applications" in collaboration with the Finnish Society for Tribology.
The seminar focuses on the tribologial and material aspects of machine elements, especially on gears and bearings. The morning talks are given by international speakers. Dipl.-Ing. Daniel Kadach, Institute for Machine Elements, Gear Research Centre (FZG), Technische Universität München, presents an overview about the main types of gear damages as well as corresponding test methods. Moreover, he is focusing on load carrying capacity of highly loaded gears considering tribological and material parameters. Principal Scientist on Tribology, Lubrication and Bearing Life form SKF Engineering and Research Centre PhD Guillermo E. Morales-Espejel, focuses on the surface life of heavily-loaded lubricated contacts and its industrial context in relation to rolling bearings. The afternoon program is dedicated to national speakers coming from industry and research centers such as Moventas Gears Oy, Ovako AB, VTT Technical Reasearch Centre of Finland, and Tampere University of Technology, Tampere Wear Center. The seminar also presents recent results of FIMECC HYBRIDS programme.
