Knowledge-based development of Tampere Region' (2012-2013) develops knowledge-related management practices to support strategic steering activities at regional level.

‘Innovative service metrics’ (2011-2013; in collaboration with Lappeenranta University of Technology) develops new metrics and measurement practices for service organizations.

‘ICT, service innovation and productivity’ (2011-2013; in collaboration with ETLA) analyses the potential of ICT to improve the productivity of service industries.

‘Newwow’ (2010-2013; in collaboration with VTT, industry partners and the RYM Oy, which is the Strategic centre for Science, Technology and Innovation of the built environment in Finland) examines the possibilities of new ways of working (i.e., non-traditional work practices) in developing knowledge work productivity.

‘Measuring the impacts of housing services for the homeless’ (2011-2012) examines the cost-effectiveness of novel housing policies.

Recently, we have completed projects dealing with

  • the role of intellectual capital in the development of national prosperity
  • analyzing the productivity of the welfare service system at the City of Helsinki
  • defining ‘knowledge-intensity’ and classifying KIBS companies
  • public service productivity measurement
  • cost-effectiveness of services for the disabled
  • intellectual capital measurement in non-profit elderly care sector.
