Professor Saku Mäkinen appointed as the director of the Finnish Technology Programme at CERN

Professor Saku Mäkinen from the Department of Industrial Management has been appointed as the director of the CERN Technology Programme coordinated by Helsinki Institute of Physics (HIP).

The purpose of the programme is to promote collaboration and technology transfer between CERN and Finland.

HIP is a research institute that is jointly administered by the University of Helsinki, Aalto University, the University of Jyväskylä, Lappeenranta University of Technology and Tampere University of Technology. The institute coordinates Finland’s collaboration with CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research. HIP cooperates with the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation Tekes to develop collaboration between Finland and CERN.
