An academic conferment ceremony has a traditional dress code.
At the ceremonial conferment of doctoral degrees and at the church service, men wear a tailcoat with black waistcoat or dark suit. Women wear a black, full-length dress or a skirt-jacket combination. At the dinner, men wear a tailcoat with white waistcoat and women a full-length evening dress. The dress code for the picnic is open: summer dress in accordance with the weather, a technology student’s cap or student’s cap.
