Conferment ceremony 2012

Tampere University of Technology held its eighth doctoral conferment ceremony at Tampere Hall on 18 May 2012.

At the conferment ceremony, 175 doctors who have graduated from Tampere University of Technology received doctoral hats as the symbol of academic freedom and certificates for participating in the ceremony.

In addition, honorary doctorates were bestowed upon eight individuals who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in the fields represented at the University or in recognition of other extraordinary contributions to science, art or society.
