Long-term partnerships are often born out of collaborative projects that evolve into close professional relationships and extensive international projects.
Tampere University of Technology (TUT) collaborates with approximately 1,000 companies each year. We have more than 200 partner universities around the world. As our University enjoys a reputation as a forerunner in university-industry collaboration, we continuously develop new forms of cooperation. For example, the new Kampusareena building has been specifically designed to facilitate interaction with external stakeholders. We also maintain close ties with SMEs and offer them easy access to our customized services.
TUT’s strength is the breadth of research interests represented among our faculty members. Their expertise covers natural sciences, the fields of engineering and business. We offer our industry partners access to the research expertise, facilities and broad networks of our international research community.
Active interaction with external partners also enables our University to respond to the rapidly changing research and competency needs in industry and business. Collaborative projects generate new knowledge, expertise, products and services – solutions that benefit industry, business and the broader society.
University-industry collaboration supports networking, internationalization, competitiveness and recruitment. The new Kampusareena building brings companies to the heart of the TUT campus and further strengthens our collaboration with industry and business.
