Funds administered by the Industrial Research Fund

By making a donation or a bequest to the Industrial Research Fund, you can have a fund named after you.

Please notice that all calls for applications are announced separately.

The Industrial Research Fund administers the following funds:

Tuula and Yrjö Neuvo Fund

The Fund supports research and doctoral education in the field of electronics and information technology and related internationalization efforts at TUT. Calls for proposals are announced separately.

Pekka Ahonen Fund

The Fund supports research into communications and telecommunications engineering at TUT. Calls for proposals are announced separately.

Solteq Fund

The Fund supports research into information technology at TUT. Grants are given out based on recommendations made by professors. 

Wärtsilä Fund

The Fund supports research related to the technology industries and especially awards grants to postgraduate students who are pursuing studies in mechanical engineering, automation engineering or business. Calls for proposals are announced separately.

Raija and Tapani Tuominen Fund

The Fund gives out an annual award to the best thesis written in the field of structural engineering or building physics. The award is given out based on recommendations made by professors. 

Paavo V. Suominen Fund

The Fund supports research and education in the field of energy and process engineering and awards outstanding graduates. Grants are given out based on recommendations made by professors. 

Each year, the Fund awards 200 euros to all pupils who graduate from the upper secondary schools in Kangasala, Lempäälä, Nokia, Pirkkala, Tampere and Ylöjärvi and achieve the highest grade in the matriculation examination in mathematics (advanced syllabus).

Professor Erkki Helamaa Fund

The Fund supports students and grants awards to graduates from the School of Architecture. Calls for proposals are announced separately. 

Sylvia-Hongen Avellan Fund

The Fund supports research and education at the Department of Materials Science. Grants are given out based on recommendations made by professors.
