All students must be able to cover personal living and housing expenses, cost of literature, travel, insurance, etc. in Finland. (The total monthly living expenses of a single student average around 700 €.) When applying for the student residence permit, you need to show the Finnish authorities that you have enough funding to support your everyday living expenses in Finland. Currently, non-EU/EEA citizens are required to show that they have at least 6000€ per year at their disposal annually.

Application fees
No fee is charged for the application.
Tuition fees
No tuition fee is charged at the Master's Degree Programme in Architecture. However students need to pay a membership fee of the student union, which is about 90 Euros per academic year.
Scholarships
TUT offers the students a first-rate academic education free of charge, and therefore we do not have a scholarship system for students. You may be eligible to apply for some "study abroad" scholarships in your home country, and from international organizations and foundations. For information on these, please turn to the educational advisers and authorities in your home country.
Jobs
Don't base your finances on the assumption that you will find a job with the University or with a company outside the university. Finding part-time work is not easy as most employers prefer personnel who are fluent in Finnish.
