Computing and Electrical Engineering

The goal of the doctoral programme of the Faculty of Computing and Electrical Engineering (DPCEE) is to offer systematic, high-quality, managed and schedule-controlled doctoral education. The programme provides young scholars with facilities to enhance their research careers and occupy demanding specialist positions.

The Faculty of Computing and Electrical Engineering is an international and multidisciplinary science community, which carries out the basic and applied technological research that is quickly exploitable by the society. All of the four laboratories of the Faculty perform international research and give education based on this research. In the Faculty of Computing and Electrical Engineering it is possible to receive high-level doctoral education and carry out research under the guidance of first-class researchers.

At TUT, interdisciplinarity is highly encouraged. Interdisciplinarity is helping you to build your research network, to be exposed to new perspectives and ideas to solve complex research problems and to create novel research findings. We will be encouraging you to seek research collaboration within TUT as well as nationally and internationally. Our research environment enables researchers to achieve even their most ambitious scientific goals and the infrastructures are continuously developed.

The education leading to a postgraduate (doctoral) degree is planned and arranged in the faculty according to the respective fields of research. The basic units of research activities and education are the following four laboratories, which jointly organize the doctoral programme of CEE:

The Head of the doctoral programme is s responsible for the quality, development and arrangements of the programme together with the coordinator and the steering committee. The programme is administered by the Faculty of Computing and Electrical Engineering.
