TUT started operating in the form of a foundation in the beginning of 2010. The foundation model ensures that the University will be able to develop its operations independently and gives a competitive edge when competing for talented students, researchers and teachers. As a foundation university TUT will further strengthen its close contacts to society and business life.
During the strategy period 2010-2013 key areas of emphasis in TUT’s operation will be the development of research activity, the strengthening of internationality, the improvement of the quality of teaching and learning, and the development of leadership and operations management.
