Webometrics: TUT ranked as the best university of technology in Finland
Tampere University of Technology (TUT) has been ranked No. 143 on the Webometrics list of the Top 500 European Universities. The system ranks universities based on the volume of their web contents and the visibility and impact of online publications.TUT was ranked higher than any other Finnish university of technology.
The ranking reflects TUT’s web presence and open access policy regarding scientific knowledge. The ranking is compiled by the Cybermetrics Lab based in Spain.
The University of Helsinki was ranked 23rd on the list of the Top 500 European Universities and was the only Finnish university that made it to the top 100. The University of Jyväskylä achieved the 105th position and the University of Turku the 133rd. The University of Tampere was ranked No. 191 and Aalto University No. 487.
