TUT awards upper secondary school graduates for achievements in mathematics

The Paavo V. Suominen Fund administered by the Industrial Research Fund of Tampere University of Technology (TUT) grants EUR 200 to all pupils graduating from upper secondary schools in and around Tampere who achieve the highest grade in the matriculation examination in mathematics (advanced syllabus). This year, 47 pupils were awarded.

The Paavo V. Suominen Fund was established in 1976 to support education and research in the field of refrigeration and mechanical engineering at TUT by granting awards and scholarships. The purpose of this award is to highlight the importance of mathematics and encourage pupils to study advanced mathematics.
