The Best Finnish PhD Thesis Award to Lakaniemi

The Finnish Society for Environmental Science gave the award for the best Finnish PhD thesis during the 11th Finnish Conference of Environmental Sciences (FCES’13) held on 2-3 May 2013 in TUT's Konetalo. Five dissertations (published in 2011-2012) took part in the competition.

The panel awarded postdoctoral researcher Aino-Maija Lakaniemi (Department of Chemistry and Bioengineering), whose dissertation was entitled “Microalgal Cultivation and Utilization in Sustainable Energy Production”. The award was a gift cheque of 500 €.
