Prof. Vattulainen enters the 2nd stage of Academy’s professorship call
The Academy of Finland’s Research Council for Natural Sciences and Engineering has selected the applicants who will proceed to the second stage of the Academy’s call for academy professorships and will be asked to submit a full application based on the letters of intent. One of the successful applicants is Professor Ilpo Vattulainen from the Department of Physics at TUT.
Academy professorships facilitate full-time scientific research for world-class researchers who are expected to significantly contribute to the progress of their research fields. Academy professorships are filled for a maximum of five years at a time. Appointment for a second term is possible only on the basis of exceptionally successful activity and a competitive research plan.
