Master’s Thesis Award to Juho Lauri

The Finnish Society for Computer Science has granted an award to Juho Lauri for the best master’s thesis written in the academic year 2013-2014. Lauri wrote his thesis titled ‘Rainbow Coloring and Connectivity Problems on Families of Perfect Graphs’ in the Department of Mathematics at TUT.

Lauri’s work has resulted in the creation of an algorithm, which has been presented at an international conference. The jury went on to state that Lauri’s thesis demonstrated mature and independent thinking.

The award will be handed out at the Computer Science Days in Jyväskylä, Finland, in June 2015.

The Master’s Thesis Award has been given out since 1984. Earlier winners include, among others, Linus Torvalds and Tatu Ylönen.
