Academy Research Fellow Alessandro Foi from the Department of Signal Processing at Tampere University of Technology has been invited and nominated as Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Image Processing (TIP) for the period of 30.1.2012 - 30.1.2015.
The main idea of the project was to create methods and tools for defining and designing formal information structures and communication interfaces for intelligent self-organizing entities, aka. Holons. Partners of the project included Nokia and Hollming Works among others.
The next call for the TUT President’s Doctoral Programme will open on 19 March, and close on 13 April. Altogether 18 positions will be filled for the three-year period between1 September, 2012 and 31 August, 2015. The instructions for applying will be available here later.
Professor Leena Korpinen has received the 2012 Electrical Engineer of the Year Award from the Association of Electrical Engineers in Finland in recognition of her scientific achievements and for promoting collaboration in the field of electrical engineering.
