Foundation’s Professor Pool awards research grants to two professors at TUT

The foundations that make up the Foundations’ Professor Pool have granted research funding to Professor Jari Hyttinen from the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering and Professor Pasi Kallio form the Department of Automation Science and Engineering at TUT.

Jari Hyttinen’s research grant was awarded by the Emil Aaltonen Foundation and Pasi Kallio’s by the Finnish Cultural Foundation.

The Foundation’s Professor Pool is a temporary grant pool of 15 foundations that provides additional research opportunities for professors. In the 2015 grant cycle, the Pool awarded research grants, each worth EUR 27,000, to 67 professors to allow them to focus on research for a period of 12 months. Each professor will also receive a EUR 5,000 travel grant. In total, the Pool awarded EUR 2,144 million in research grants. This was the Pool’s final grant cycle.
