What started out as a workshop for Finnish architecture students arranged by the EDGE Laboratory for Architectural and Urban Research at Tampere University of Technology and LEAD (Laboratory for Explorative Architecture & Design Ltd.) has evolved into an experimental structure in the form of a pavilion.

The Dragon Skin Pavilion is a joint effort between architects Emmi Keskisarja and Pekka Tynkkynen - both graduates from TUT - and LEAD. The pavilion is made of  post-formable plywood  and has generated widespread interest in the esteemed biennale.

The Dragon Skin Pavilion is currently exhibited at the 2012 Hong Kong & Shenzhen Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism \ Architecture.

The Hong Kong & Shenzhen Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture opened on 16 February and is scheduled to close on 23 April. The exhibition is expected to attract more than 70,000 participants.
