Doctors sought for companies – application for PoDoCo grants opens this autumn

Launched in May 2015, the PoDoCo (Post Docs in Companies) programme supports the employment of young doctors in the private sector and the long-term renewal of companies. The autumn 2016 application round will be open from 15 September to 31 October.

The first year of operation was highly successful: altogether 400 recently graduated doctors or soon-to-be doctors from various fields applied to the programme. In addition, 71 companies so far have sought actively for doctors for approximately 90 open positions, and the programme has received 64 joint applications from doctors and companies. Due to the great demand, the funding basis of the programme has been expanded with contributions from the Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation, the Foundation for Economic Education and the Maj and Tor Nessling Foundation.

The autumn 2016 application round for the PoDoCo programme will open on 15 September and close on 31 October.

A PoDoCo information event for post docs will be arranged on 15 September 2016 at 1-1:30 pm in the Kampusareena auditorium (room A223) of Tampere University of Technology.
