Best practices shared with visitors from GermanyTUT has the honour of hosting distinguished guests from Braunschweig University of Technology, Germany, on 4-5 September.
The delegation includes Vice-President for Research Dieter Jahn, Permanent President for Administration Dietmar Smyrek, EU Liaison Officer Andreas Hebbelmann and ERASMUS Institutional Coordinator Björn Mehlhorn from Braunschweig University of Technology (Technische Universität Braunschweig, TUBS).
Braunschweig University of Technology has a strategic goal to promote internationalization among support staff. Representatives of TUBS are visiting Tampere to establish relations with TUT and explore potential forms of collaboration.
“We’ll be sharing best practices for organizing support services and university-industry collaboration. We are especially interested in identifying good working models for the preparations towards Tampere3. In addition, we plan to map out potential research collaborations between TUBS and TUT,” says TUT’s Vice President for Research Jarmo Takala.
The parties will discuss the international dimension of universities from multiple perspectives, such as strategic partnerships, student mobility, innovation services, Tampere3 research services, and sustainable development.
Among others, Professors Saku Mäkinen, Minnamari Vippola and Olli Yli-Harja will present TUT’s research activities to the visitors.
