Award for best dissertation in 2011 to Satu Jumisko-Pyykkö
DTech Satu Jumisko-Pyykkö has received an award for the best doctoral dissertation in 2011 from the Science Fund of the City of Tampere.Jumisko-Pyykkö’s dissertation titled "User-Centered Quality of Experience and Its Evaluation Methods for Mobile Television" explores the perceived quality of mobile video and audio. She was nominated for the award by Tampere University of Technology. Jumisko-Pyykkö’s dissertation was approved with distinction and the jury praised the high quality of the research. The award is worth 5,000 euros.
The Research Foundation of Information Technology granted its Doctoral Dissertation Award to Satu Jumisko-Pyykkö earlier this year.
