Atanas Gotchev elected Vice Chair of ICT COST Action IC1105 3D-ConTourNet
Academy Research Fellow Atanas Gotchev from the Department of Signal Processing at Tampere University of Technology has been elected as Vice Chair of the ICT COST Action IC1105 ‘3D Content Creation, Coding and Transmission over Future Media Networks (3D-ConTourNet)’.The 3D-ConTourNet COST Action joins together 21 European parties to undertake coordinated research collaboration at the European level in 3D multimedia creation, encoding, delivery and reception of services and applications over future networking technologies.
The benefits achieved through the collaboration include, among others, the increased relevancy of European research, contributions to the development and sustainability of new and improved 3D multimedia communications technology and the development of a platform for faster launch and adoption of related new products and services across Europe. The four-year action started on 22 May 2012.
