Alvar Aalto Research Conference on 12-14 March

The Alvar Aalto Museum, the School of Architecture at Tampere University of Technology (TUT) and the Department of Architecture at Aalto University have launched an international network that connects researchers interested in Alvar Aalto.

The First Alvar Aalto Research Conference will be held in Seinäjoki and Jyväskylä on 12-14 March 2012. The conference will bring together architects, researchers, historians and others interested in the subject from all over the world.

The goal of the Conference is to strengthen the community of International Alvar Aalto Researchers and share information about ongoing research projects. The programme also includes visits to the Aalto sites in Alajärvi and Säynätsalo and Alvar Aalto Museum Archives in Jyväskylä.

The speakers will include, among others, Petra Ceferin, Nicholas Ray, Natalia Dushkina, Eeva Pelkonen, Aino Niskanen and Renja Suominen-Kokkonen.
