TUT continues to climb the NTU RankingTampere University of Technology (TUT) has risen steadily through the National Taiwan University Ranking to claim 172nd place worldwide for Electrical Engineering. TUT has moved up 28 spots from 2016 and 57 spots from 2015.
National Taiwan University (NTU) publishes a ranking list of the world’s top universities based on productivity and the quality and impact of scientific papers. Out of thousands of universities around the world, the top 500 make the list.
NTU Ranking lists universities based on six field categories and 14 subject categories. This year, TUT ranked 172nd in the category of Electrical Engineering. TUT’s position has been on the rise in recent years: TUT ranked 200th in 2016 and 229th in 2015.
The top three universities in the Electrical Engineering category are Tsinghua University, Nanyang Technological University and Harbin Institute of Technology. The highest ranking Finnish universities on the list are Aalto University (113th), TUT (172nd) and the University of Oulu (235th).
In the overall NTU Ranking, the top three universities are Harvard University, Stanford University and Johns Hopkins University.
